Dengue control is a challenge today due to its complexity and involving the multiple variables and multiple scales. According to Medronho (2004), the multiple variables that contribute to its behavior and spatial component are fundamental for its comprehension, like climate, relief and land cover. The spatial analysis, focusing mainly on the landscape, can contribute to the development of strategies and better comprehension of the contexts in which the dengue is developed. Brasília, the capital of Brazil, inaugurated in 1960, has experienced a particularly rapid rate of urbanization. Its population in 1960 was of little more than 150 thousand, but has reached 2 million and 800 thousand in 2016 (IBGE, 2016). The increase of dengue cases has been identified during the last 5 years, with the largest dengue epidemic in 2010 (more than 15, 000 cases). In this context, this study aims to analyze the landscape changes through the change detection analysis, using Landsat images from 2007 to 2014 and hybrid detection technique and find the possible relationships between landscape dynamics and dengue incidence rates. Preliminary results show the correlations between urban expansion, landscape changes and dengue incidence rates.
